The Abington Board of School Directors has announced that there are no honors or orientations on the agenda for its December 7, 2020, meeting.
Due to the current disaster emergency declared by Governor Wolf by Proclamation dated March 6, 2020, and the July 15, 2020 Executive Order related thereto limiting in person gatherings, and in consideration of the health and safety of the school community, notice is hereby given that the Abington Board of School Directors (the “Board”) shall conduct its regularly scheduled Board meetings in a hybrid manner at the Administration Building that is located at 970 Highland Avenue, Abington PA, 19001. The Reorganization Meeting of the Board and the Board’s Regular Meeting will be convened using a virtual meeting platform on December 7, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. The public Board meetings will be streamed live on the Abington School District YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/AbingtonSchoolDistrict/live).
Comments from Citizens will be conducted live through the zoom platform. A link to join the meeting to participate in public comment will be provided on the screen, as well as on the District website at the time of public comment. You will also be able to join the meeting by calling in on your mobile or landline phone. Please watch the livestream of the meeting on the District YouTube channel for specific information on participating in public comment. Ahead of the meeting, you can download zoom onto your computer or phone and test your audio (there will be no video for public comment).
The meeting shall be recorded and accessible on the District’s website and cable channel–posted no later than Thursday, December 10, 2020–to allow those members of the public who cannot participate to review the proceeding at a later time.
